It comes down to being at the right place at the right time. Nice silver coins.

Love those Silver coins!

Gary, I don't want you to give away any secrets but I'd like to know more about the type of location you are finding these. Dry, wet sand?

Your coins look so good I'm assuming dry.

Here's what I pull out of the wet sand in Southern California (Silver and a Buff after a storm).

Every silver ring or coin that was old, seems to be all black, and corroded, at least on this side and in the water. Gary do tell us, as what you are finding is fantastic. Very nice finds. You must have hit on a beach that was an old one, and either not hit hard, or really washed away.

Im amazed by the variety of items and age. Im assuming they arent from the same beach. Id wet my pants to have that kind of day.... and on a beach no less. If i come across a beach like that you guys arent seeing nothing until ive cleaned it out. Nice finds.

Most of these coins were black when found and came from two beaches that suffered some good erosion, one of the beaches is well known for its older finds and I know you must have dived in the area. The coins came out of the cut area on the beach over several recent hunts they are not water finds and I doubt they had been in the water but lost on the beach back in the day. I know the coin collectors like patina but they are not treasure coins or have key dates so I used some wet aluminum foil to clean them up. I always like to think that the more areas you search the more variety of finds you will come home with.

All South East Florida finds, dont waste your gas money as one of the spots already has a good 2 to 3 feet of sand over the area I found the coins.
