Hi :hello2:

Got in a couple of hrs. before the rain started.

Had my dog , Jacky in tow diggin' for bones ( he looooooooves to go detecting with me) while I dug for whatever I could find.

Found yet another antique spoon :help: Holmes & Edwards

Also found a Swiss made Victorinox men's watch in excellent condition...still tickin' but a tad slow , so tomorrow I will bring it to the main Company store( which fortunately is just a "stone's throw" from my town) for a new battery; then it goes to Hank ..early birthday present. :icon_sunny:

Found it under a briar bush about 5" deep.

I was sure happy to find this watch...here's a link to the watch with all the details on the page.

Here's a pic of today's finds

Thanks for taking the "time " to look. :icon_sunny:

Nice find Lorraine. That is one of my goals this year, to find a running watch so I know what time it is when I'm detecting..... hope I don't find it to soon, I like staying out without any idea of what time it is.....LOL

interesting finds - love the watch - (I want to find one and I don't care how rusty or cheap it is), being Swiss - should be good for years to come.

lorrain, you should wear that watch when you go detecting as it being a tad slow would give you more detecting time.lol. congrats...

I will...when I get an 8 -place setting.

I'm having trouble finding forks and knives on the beach.,( except for fishermen's knives) :laughing7:

Lorraine, I found an ice cream scoop about 100 feet from shore in December, I havent found a regular spoon for a while. Have found a few fish fillet knives and diving knives, diving. I wouldnt mind finding some old silver spoons. Or forks.

Nice finds Lorraine

It's also nice that you think about someone else who could use that watch instead of just selling it.

Spreading the joy is always a good thing, and hopefully will bring you back something nice in return.

That's a super nice watch. Very nice find. I found a spoon the other day but it surely does not compare with yours. It will be interesting to see it after cleaning.
Most of the flat ware I find is adjacent to the beach resturants and I throw them on the beach tables. The only flat ware I keep are the ones that aren't in close proximity to the resturants. But again they never compare to the ones you find and end up in the trash at the end of the year.
