Certainly looks like gold. About how big is it for scale? Your camera takes a good picture with good detail and depth of field. HH, Ralph

You acid tested it? Could be from a tooth that melted in a fire that made it's way into the sea. Or possibly a charm or ring that somehow got melted in a bonfire on the beach Hey, "if" it's gold...who cares.

Probably from the later then as I don't think they use 22k in dentistry, too soft. Kinda looks like a peanut.

I think they used 9 Kt in gold teeth. Doesnt look like a tooth though. Maybe it is a nugget.

This one is from the ashes of somebody.
Most likely it is a gold tooth melted in the fire.
I have found some last summer in the water.

That very well could be. I looked online and dental gold can be from 10 to 22 Kt. Seems like it would be too soft, but who knows.

I have tested a gold tooth with acid that showed 22k. I read some where that some of the older European teeth were 22k.
The one I tested was supposed to have been out of a mouth since before the 40's.
It reacted the same as a 22k natural nugget.

Also read that some of the metals in dental gold may make it react as 22k with acid, even though it may be lower.
