It pays to get a good pair of waders as they will last lots longer than the bargin ones. Suggest you wear a PDF also.

When you find enough gold then you can move up to a Dry Suit that you can wear thermal underwear and socks that is safer in case you step into a deep hole unless your waders are tight around your chest to keep water out.

Re: Got my waiters yeasterday
Depending on the waders, and the fit/etc, the simple addition of wearing a wader belt can reduce the in-rush of water filling up the waders/legs, should you take a really bad plunge. ALot of waders include them.

waiter serves food --waders keep you dry -- do not get into overly deep water with them -- and be very very sure you do not step into any deep hole spots , where you might go over your head deep --- once the top of the waders is in the water the waders can fill up rapidly with water turning them into a death trap that can drown you as you try to get to the surface for air --so please be very careful. -- your freinds here at T net.
you might want to have a sharp"diver" type knife attached to your forearm in a forearm sheath to be able to cut the shoulder straps in case of a "accident" -- it could save yer life .
