before I start cutting into wires looking for some help and ideas

I have an at pro and I dont like the headphones or the blue ones. I want to use underwater earbuds. I would like to make an adapter outta my headphones now plus I will buy one from garrett so I have two. Im sure the salt will eat em up so I will have to waterproof them. I would like to go wireless will those adapters work underwater? I will. Have to mount under the unit in something waterproof, you guys think this is too far gone/crazy to do?, I want to hunt this year with a weight belt and snorkel and mask under water in the swimlines instead of being chest deap with my scoop. Im just looking for ideas before I spend money on an idea that was dead from the get go, if anything just being able to use the underwater earbuds hard wired would be ok. Im sure the garrett adapter will still need to be waterproofed somehow before the salt tears it up. Thankx capt.
