 Joe
Picked Up This "Rolex" On The Beach.....
And it was working...but unfortunately it had TIMEX written on it. It sure had the look and my heart beat faster for a few minutes.
Had just a great time with my new hunting buddy Kiana (Kiana7 on the forum).
We compared signals between my Sand Shark and her Dual Field. My small 1.9g 14K ring stumped both detectors at 8" deep wet sand but both detectors detected equally well the medium 14K gold ring of 7.4g at 8" deep.
We detected for quite a few morning hours at two different beaches...broke for lunch (and a very needed rest for this tired detectorist) and then with renewed energy tackled Seal Beach again for about a good 4 hours (a half hour of which I spent in the shade of a lifeguard tower pretending to relax while I was really trying to catch my breath).
We covered a lot of ground but our best was only a few crusty coins and a number of pocket spills...but definitely a good time with a sincere detectorist who will find her gold ring soon with no doubt at all!
PS: Thank you Kiana for the lunch...my treat next time.
Regards, Joe (California)

No,Thank You Joe for showing me some of your skills, greatly thankful, Story to this it would've been my Rolex,b/c Joe told me to hunt that area, but b/c I was digging up a lot of iron I neglected not to & switch to dry sand area..
He came up & told me he found a Rolex, my heart dropped, then showed me the Timex, which is very really nice. Lesson to be Learn,,Listen to the Skillful Person who's trying to Teach You!!!
It sure is Fun when you have a hunting buddy,, once again it was an Honor :-)

 Joe
And the Timex is only $125...be real nice if the "TIMEX" was written in much smaller letters <smile>.

Yeah the Rolex is $8,995.00 and I'm not sure it would hold up against a good Timex.
