Galveston question

We are spending a few days in Galveston, out past Jamaica beach a ways. Can I detect there? It looks like we might be on a state park area! If you know about where we can and can't detect, could you let me know please? Thanks!

I am heading to Galveston in 3 weeks. I have always hunted off of the main seawall with no problems across from Casa Del Mar. I generally start at sun up and hit it until 9:00 AM. Few folks there at the AM. Perhaps others can chime in. I only get to hunt in summer 2 times per year at the beaches in Texas (job).

Can hunt anywhere along the beach.....except the State Park...good luck...hope ya find good stuff!!
