The best high tone Ive ever dug...high tone GOLD.
I went to the West coast to see what Debby stirred up. I was digging alot of coins and was seriously thinking about skipping the high tones and only digging the mids because they were wasting alot of my time. I kept digging them since I like silver rings. I had been hunting 5 hours and was digging another solid high tone. I shook out the scoop and finally a big silver ring. I did a double take and said no way its gold. A 8.6 gram 10k band. Its too big for my thumb. Ill never leave a coin behind now. 3.36 in clad and a floating dollar bill in the edge of the surf. Havent found gold in awhile, felt good to see that ring in the scoop. Most targets were in knee to waist deep water including the ring. I was using my CZ21.

Thats a fatty. She sure is a beauty. Looks like a great reason to keep digging those high tones. I dig everything but a shallow bottle cap..... just cause.

Dear metal detector God,
Thank you for all the stuff I find, I really appreciate the coins, toys, junk jewelry, old bullets, and all the other neat stuff I find, I try not to complain and cuss when I find pulltabs, foil, and other garbage, and I try REALLY hard to be nice to people who irritate me. I only have one complaint, I have yet to find gold and it's been a year now!

Nice, you just never know from the tone, base metals, position laying in the ground or what ever, you want to dig it all at the beach... I have dug high tone gold as well................
Congrats sir...

nice ring, i have found gold in the high tone on a cz, not very often. i can understand how other metal in the ring can make it sound off as high. i found a tiffany ring marked 925 which gave a mid tone, in the ground and the air. i couldnt figure it out, even had mike check it on his. best to dig i guess. nice ring though. david

congrats on the CZ21 gold!
After digging an 18k Gold/Platinum 950 Cartier combo ring that registered as a high, I dig all mids, highs and low w/mid/high bounce tones...you just never know. Some food for thought, out of my 37 gold and platinum finds last year, two registered as highs on my CZ21.

Nice thick ring. A 22kt. gold ring gave me a high tone
Some very heavy rings or high karat gold rings will give high tones.
