Finally.......My first gold ring!

Hello all, I'm fairly new to metal detecting and this is my first post. I have been swinging an Ace 250 since last summer and I'm hooked! I have found lots of clad, a couple of silver bracelets, and a few rings. I found my first gold ring yesterday while hunting at night.

I have been reading all of your posts and doing my homework. I just ordered the Tesoro Sand Shark, should be here Monday. I wanted a machine that would allow me to enter the water. I'm excited about it!

Thanks to Leprechaun, Plymouthian 12, and Meanderer for helping me along. You have been very generous with your time and knowledge. Looking forward to many more hunts with all of you. Also a big thank you to Terry Soloman for his insight on the Sand Shark. Can't wait to apply that knowledge!

I am also new to the hobby sort of. 35 years ago I did have detector as a kid, but a pretty good gap in between. I got my first gold ring yesterday.
