Follow that truck; it's leaving silver behind!..925 locket this morning

:hello:Hi,

Was out hunting for 2 1/2 hrs. early this morning before the high temps arrived.

High tide / dry sand hunt; the beach truck was in operation, so I followed behind it as it smoothed the sand making it much easier to walk along and grid.:walk:

Was finding many coins , and then I got a nice high tone and dug up what I thought was maybe
a junk metal, but on further scrutiny I realized that is was an ornate locket ; actually it's a half locket-back is missing :sad1:

First locket I have found...maybe I will now cross it off my "bucket list".

Here's some pics

As always, thanks for looking at my post / pics

CT shoreline; There are sifters and smoothers at the various beaches here. At this particular beach, the truck just smooths the sand ....just moves the surface items to another spot. At either end of the beach there are piles of sand where the truck turns around and the accumulated sand under the smoother sloughs off...another good spot to find treasures.

Yea, at OC they do all sorts of things at the part of the beach I'm at. I usually have to try to get out at like 5:30 or 6 at night when people are starting to leave and then the sifters come out at like 7

Hi ddmac60,

No , I'm still using the Minelab GT. It works well for me in all areas .

Sometimes it 's me who is not working well in some areas and so I come home with the equivalent of "nada" :laughing7:
