APRAISAL IN on Diamond Ring from last weekend with Casper
Ok so here goes.. For those of you that may be interested in the apraisal for the 14 K 5 Diamond Anniversary Ring that I found last week.
Replacement Value $6,000.00
Insurance Value $7,500.00
If I were to sell it, they said nothing less than $4,600.00
There offer sucked....LOLOLOL
The stones were OK, but if they were clearer, it would have been much higher in value.....
Still Not a bad days pay....

Dang, you did awesome with that find. Might not hurt to get a second appraisal. Could tell them up front that you don't want to sell it, you just want to insure it. That's a beauty for sure!!!!!

Definitely need a second appraisal. Bring it to the jeweler's building, 327 (357?) Washington Street, in Boston. Call a few places to see if they do appraisals, first. You preferably want to bring it to a jeweler who will do the appraisal on the premises, while you wait - not one who "sends" it out. There are places that change stones, etc. (taking out the really nice ones and replacing them with lower quality stones)...go prove they did this as you are getting it appraised and have no idea what the stones are worth! If you PM me, I can tell you the name of a couple of jewelers in Boston whom I've dealt with. Also one up here in New Hampshire who I trust.
Really, really, really nice find. I still want one!

Why worry about the clarity of the diamonds...if someone noticed that while my wife was wearing it....they are to close to her hand....!

Well, if it takes that long to find a really nice ring like that one Whydah, I may as well set
my sights on something a lot less beautiful. Might not be around that long! Congrats again.
Gold Nuggets
If Gold is where you find it, I need to look somewhere else.....
