Freshwater hunt...a little gold and silver. UPDATE ON RING
Didnt make it to the beach this weekend but got a couple hours in at a lake. Very few targets but I scratched out a 0.6 gram 14k earring and a 3.5 gram silver ring marked sterling...anyone know what the symbols on the ring are? I use my AT PRO in freshwater because it picks up small earrings that my CZ21 wont. The CZ beats the AT in saltwater. UPDATE...The ring is called Siam silver and was handmade in Thailand between 1920 and 1970. The black on the ring is called nilloware. Its created by carving out an area of silver and baking a sulfur/metal powder into the carved out metal area. The symbol is Mekkala the goddess of lighting. The ring is upside down in the pics.
