first is inside pic of large wedding band from Monday
all that is stamped inside is - P.B
DSC00380.JPG

funny thing is - wedding band I found at end of Aug. (below)
on my other 5 gold day - also has same - Im guessing makers mark
IMGP0711.JPG

here is small ring with 3 stones (dont know if they are rubies or amethyst)
DSC00378.JPG
here is only marking inside = anchor and K
usually an anchor is Birmingham UK mark
if so the K may be a date letter - if so - it would make it 1934
which would fit with other finds made
(a lurker friend found a ring indentical he said in fresh water at an old spot - his has same mark inside )
DSC00379.JPG
here is large blue stoned ring from monday
DSC00382.JPG DSC00384.JPG

PB. Could it be Platnauer Brothers, English jewelers in 1800's? They were in Chester until 1883 or so. Today there is an R. Platnauer jeweler in Birmingham. Relationship unknown. Those are all wonderful finds.

I searched for period jewelers and makers marks with google
Platnauer Brothers never came up -
the one found in Aug is inscribed 1928
I dont own a gold test kit - its heavy - I think it is at least 14k
it looks like they tried making it white gold but is yellow too
might have been a bad mix of alloys with the gold or they used silver instead of nickel
