Hello, been so busy of late ... though I've seen some nice finds I've appreciated from y'all during quick lurks- so well done :hello2: . Got a 2 hour salt lake hunt in this afternoon and came up with my first Emerald (may be a lab special) 2.49g's 9ct. Hunted waist to chest for no dice, then on the way out to the car I swept the ankle depth high tide area and it was there - so definitely not always in the deep. My beloved loves it. HH
+upon further inspection there are tiny ice chips surrounding the stone, also the Emerald has lovely dirty patches and other inclusions so I'm really hoping it is real - thanks Hamid and TNgirl - yes my wife scoffed as I doubted it as real - she thinks an engagement?

That is one beautiful ring find, Smoogle!:hello2::wav:

I wish Hank would get off the "links" and into the water to find one like that for me, too.

Does look like one of two rings.... could well be an engagement ring. Excellent find. Ive been lucky lately all the good ones dont fit the wife and she wont get them sized. So im starting a mini collection/retirement fund.

I was thinking what Les was, if it has inclusions it most likely is real. Nice find!

thanks for the replies but I found the exact ring today on ebay - synthetic stone - nevermind... I'll be testing this gold for sure now, the inclusions I could see were actually specs of dirt on the bottom of the stone. The wife did not throw it back so all is not lost but we both had hoped for better... at least it is gold... I think.........lol HH
