Well Les and Ken didnt leave me much from his hunt the other day but i found a few deep ones and a couple of nice recent drops in the dry sand. One of the rings is marked Stirling, one .925 Thiland, TUNG, and a junker. The cross is .925 pretty heavy.... i looked all over and couldnt find the chain im sure it was a nice heavy silver one. The Red Tide was just nasty. Its moved toward the beach and couldnt see the scoop in knee deep water. Couldnt wait to get in the shower. Im nuts, but couldnt believe there werent signs and people with babies were setting in that stinch. Notice how pitted those deep rings were.

Nice finds. Maybe the chain broke and they caught it but the cross fell never to be seen till you scooped it up.

Deb.... im sure i smelt good to the cats after being in that. I know it had to have been worse when Les was here. they had cleaned up the beaches some.... i saw a news camera crew on one of the beaches as i was leaving. The beaches this year are getting the yuk throwed at them... with the high tides and red tide. Hopefully they get them all cleaned up for the winter tourists to enjoy the sun.

Are you using yout excal for those finds? Havent been going out since our meeting. Guess I'll have to wait for the tide to clear up. Maybe Dry will draw me in. Good hunting.

Steve.... yes that was the Xcal. I was hunting in PP with high sensitivity to pick those deeper ones up. They really sounded like cr@p once i heard them in disc. I made a trip to Venice today..... nasty nasty. I spent maybe 20 mins in the pond and everytime you went to dig dead fish floated under your chin... they were floating all over. The water is really dark green. They had a yellow flag out werent many on the beach except for a Sat. Sands been pushed back in as well.

After going in that smelly water don't visit any place called the " Cat's Meow." I had a sore throat for 30 hrs. after being in that area. Congrats on your finds. I'm not going back until the Red Tide is over.
