whats up tnet..

quick question..

my coil cover seems to be alittle loose on my sand shark and was wondering if i could use some double sided tape to keep it nice and snug?.. would that harm the coil at all? is there something other then double sided tape i could use? any recommendations/suggestions would be awesome..

thanks in advance..

You can use a bit of silicone. 3-4 little beads/drops of silicone right at the edge of the coil cover should be enough. If some day you want to remove the coil cover you can still cut through the silicone with a fine blade.

maybe i will give that a shot.. any other suggestions? so the double sided tape thing would be no good? does it have to be a certain type of silicone?

will something like aqua seal do the job? i still want to be able to take off the cover for cleaning purposes...

DON'T SILICONE ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just use two small pieces (1") of scotch tape on two sides of the coil cover, to the top of the coil. Works fine and you can easily remove the scuff cover for cleaning.

As Terry says, just use tape to secure the loose cover so you can remove it easy for cleaning almost every day. The silicone on the edges gives you false hope that no black sand will get in the coil cover and it will mess you up with your thinking your good to go.
