Old, cold beach gives up old, cold silver , old cold "buffalo" and misc items

    Hi,

Hank wanted to golf; I wanted to detect , so together off we went in the cold , brisk morning for fresh air and fun.

Returned to the old beach that I enjoy for its deserted surroundings..nice and quiet there.

Was searching for old coins and sure enough they showed up.

I was pleased even though the condition of the coins is pitiful...it's just so much fun finding them.

The seated dime is paper thin

    Here's some pics.

I'm "cooking the coins" now..will post pics of cleaned results later

    Thanks for looking

    Lorraine

    ADDENDUM:

I have added the pics of the cleaned coins; all I can say is "Better days better be comin"

Can't wait for the pics of the big high tone one! I am sitting out another snowstorm and living vicariously through others detecting.

    Boris,

I would have loved to find a flying eagle as did you...congrats on that find.

I also like the little pistol and that little dog in your photo

Good luck on your next hunt.

    Thanks, Susan,

That big high tone ended up to be a Big High Nothing!....some type of mixture of metals...nothing interesting.

Stay warm...I see that you got another bout of stormy weather...hope it melts soon so that you can get out there.

Thanks Lorraine. We can dig out pretty quick from a storm so back to normal tomorrow but we have fairly deep snow cover so it will likely be at least six weeks before we will see ground. But at least we're heading in the right direction. Sorry about the big one, I had high hopes it would be silver. Maybe next time silver AND gold.

Don't know how you do it but you really dig some great treasure, and in the cold.....makes me cold just thinking about it....Congrads on all, and be safe.....
