I'm going in November, and like you are having some trouble finding advice. A number of peolple asking, but few sharing their experience.

How did you make out?

Hello,

I went Nassau, Bahamas last year with my Excal and had a great time. Stayed for 4 days and on the last day I finally found a great spot. Depending on where the cruise takes you try to go to the beaches by Atlantis. I didn't run into any issues with beach security, they were friendly and just curious about my detector. You may have some trouble in Atlantis as that place is like a fortress but in the surrounding areas you are fine. I ran into one local that was hunting with a Sand Shark who was friendly.

use sunscreen and sun glasses. Watch out for dead pirates, and trust me about the sunscreen..

Bring plenty of cash for taxis. Getting around is not as convenient as you would think. Beaches were a bit rough but hunt able on most days.
