Another contribution to my son's college fund

This morning I decided to do a dry sand hunt. As I started I could see another hunter about 75 yards away from me searching the sand beneath the sun huts. As we approached and met he waved me over and told me that he had already been in the area that I was currently searching. I asked him how he had been doing and he said that he had been here for 2 weeks and found at least 300 coins. I asked him how he had done in the water since he had an Excal and was wearing diving boots and he said he never goes in the water. I'm thinking to myself "WHAT??" Anyway he was a nice enough fellow and he told me that he had already been up and down the resort front. I could see his piles of damp sand in the distance and thought what the hell I'm just going to kill time. We parted ways and off I went.
He had done a good job and I was basically finding a few coins here and there but mostly trash since I was using my SeaHunter MKII. And no I'm not comparing the machines. Since I could see his holes and coil prints all up beneath the huts I decided to move down into the loose sand between the huts and the waters edge. Glad I did.
The bracelet is 18K and weighs 27 grams. At Friday's closing price it is $915 and change in scrap. Retails for $2,900 on T&Co's site. Tomorrow I have to go get a battery put in my watch and the only authorized T&Co dealer here is next door so I'm going to take the bracelet and the silver ring I found the other day and see how much it'll cost to repair/refurbish.

Thanks for looking and good luck out there.

That seems like an unusually large difference between melt and retail value for the Gold?

It has a lot to do with the name. And oh by the way jewelry has a huge mark up.
