GOLD COIN!!! (Updated Photo's)

I always wanted to find a gold coin, and I finally did. I was an hour and forty minutes into a 2 hour hunt when I dug the gold coin. Man it made my day. The coin is a 1915 Austria 1 Ducat with "Franc iOS IDG Avstriae Imperator" on the front. It is .986 fine (23 3/4 carats). The site I got my info said this about the coin "among the highest purity gold coins ever issued for circulation". The bezel is stamped .750 (18k).

I also dug a 3 gram platinum ring.

Enjoy!

For sure, I'll bet the chain is a beast :laughing7:, Wishing you a fast recovery !
Franz bust looks really high relief, that seems to be indicative of the err, 'older'
coin designs. It makes them difficult to stack, and causes wear issues.
I understand these aren't made to be carried as pocket change, but some collectors coins
will begin to show 'cabinet wear' on the high points just from being moved in a display.
Modern coinage has become 'stackable' with lower relief and higher rims.
Old Franz sure looks good !~ Great Photos

Although it is not my most valuable find, it is my favorite find by far! Yes, you do have a nice piece of Spanish silver there. Nice find... That is still on my bucket list.
