Didn't find much, the highlight being a clad quarter and a spoon. We had fun and that's what matters. 2013-06-24 20.13.39.jpg

I did find out that the national seashore (on the beach) begins at the southern border of Nags head municipality.
We are a couple miles north of that.

All of our finds came from dry sand. My Fisher F5 acted a bit funny in the wet sand but was usable. I searched for an hour with a NEL Tornado and then another hour with the stock 8 inch coil. Found the quarter with the NEL and the spoon with the 8 inch.

Thanks.

You never know, next dig may be a nice fat gold ring. Enjoyment is going out and detecting, excitement is seeing something glitter in the scoop.
