The way they are closing areas to metal detecting you may not need to. I can see it now.... as illegal to hunt as it is to grow pot.

Some states are changing the laws so you can grow pot. We really need to work together to get more areas open. A group got together in Baltimore and made it so you can hunt city parks with a few exceptions like Federal Hill. If they can lobby and make pot legal we should be able to get are hobby legal in more areas. We need someone to step up and lead the way. I'll be right behind him or her.

Now there's an idea.....metal detecting viewed as a medicinal requirement. Here's the basic pitch, "Take away metal detecting and thousands of stressed-out people will be back on the streets!"

User comments:
"I just can't function without it."
"Keeps me thinking."
"Teaches me to accept diversity."
"I'd lose my mind without it."
"It takes away my pain and unhappiness."
"Too much of it gives me the munchies." (Good for the beach vendors $$.)

I think I'll just make a bunch of copies of this and start mailing them out:

Dear City, County, and State Offical,

Considering the substantial increase in metal detector crimes (Examples provided below) I fully understand and appreciate your dedicating the time to address these issues of great community and state importance.

1) Local Man Shoots Neighbor With a CZ-21 Metal Detector.
2) Drunken Detectorist Runs Over Beachgoer At The Beach.
3) Government Files Civil Suit Against Detector Companies For Second Hand Effect.
4) Four Detectorist Charged In A Fatal Drive By Shooting.
5) Law Enforcement Addresses Detector Gang Drug Distribution Ring.
6) Motorist Charged With DUI – (Detecting Under The Influence.)
7) Local Convenience Store Robbed At Detector Point.
8) School On Lockdown After Student Brandishes a Metal Detector.
9) Rape Victim Says Man Held A Metal Detector To Her Head.
10) Unemployment Rate Up Due To The Increase In Metal Detector Ownership.
11) Metal Detectorist Leaving Trash On The Beach.
12) Lost Class Ring Returned To Owner By Meth Lab Junkie.

Ok, I admit it. I made that last one up. No, wait a minute, I think I made them all up. But never mind, point is, nice to see you spending your time on our dime to address all these really important metal detector related issues. :laughing7:

It's known as LOGS disease, short for - "Lack Of Gold Syndrome". It isn't a curable ailment because once it enters the system it will forever remain there in either an active or dormant state. There is medication to help with keeping it in a dormant state but it is extremely expensive and most have to resort to finding discarded prescriptions. However, just one dose can last for several days or even a week or more, just depends on the individual. Read all this on the internet so it must be true.
