Me and a friend went to the TX coast this week. We spent three nights hunting various Galveston beaches. Nothing spectacular for me but plenty of targets to make it fun. My friend made the big find with a 10k Texas A&M University ring that we were able to return on our way back to Fort Worth. His thread on the ring is here: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/377881-todays-galveston-beach-find.html
Here's a pic of my finds minus the mountain of bobby pins, tent stakes and paper clips. Notable finds are the silver frog ring marked .925, an India 1 Rupee coin, a Fiji 1 cent, a rabies tag and one of my pennies was a wheat cent.

Thanks!

It's fairly bright at night on the Galveston beaches along the seawall because of the street lights. You could probably get by without needing a light down there, but I have one of the cheap LED lights that clip on the brim of my cap. I mostly keep it off until I want to inspect something that looks good or if I have trouble locating a target.

Ever think of the beaches from Port A down to Padre? Get back off the beaches, 1st and 2nd row of dunes. You may be surprised...
