Set your eyes on this ring -the detector didn't even want to pick it up, but it was cast upon the sand in plain view.
I do believe it to be a ring..it is adjustable on the bottom and the wires widen at the top as if to hold something that is now long lost.
It is ugly and corrosion has set in. Doesn't get any worse.

Looks like an eyelet to a fishing rod.

It's a kids squeeze ring. I find them all the time. Put it on your finger and squeeze to fit.

It does resemble an eyelet but the adjustable part seems to be part of a ring. Who knows, they're probably made at the same factory.
We should have a category for Worst Finds on the forum.

Fishing rod eyes, or guides only have a single wire circle with a foot at the base for attachment to the rod.

Oh.. no.. not all of them.
I have a boat and garage full of different styles.
Some have multiple separate parts.. some have a couple braces tied to the rod and epoxied in place with a separate ring soldered to them.

I can't figure out what it is, donkarlos, but I've found similar many times.

Good luck on your next hunt.
