Just wanted to say thanks to Minelab for the quick service on my CTX3030 and giving it basically an overhaul. It's easy tp pile on when things are tough, so I credit them for the job they did on the CTX.
Fixed was the burnout on the screen. Updated firmware.
Replaced was the leaky battery compartment and battery.
One thing of note was that the screen failed the "seal" test. It was replaced.
Wonder if the stress and torque from sweeping her in the water caused this? Didn't ask but something to be aware of...
All under warranty and all in about three weeks door to door.
For all the flames and fandom this machine generates, they stood behind their product and now have a customer for life.

Love the CTX despite all the flaws (and I have been critical).
After two months on the shelf, it was good to get her back and in action. The Excalibur is getting lonely so we may be getting wet together later in the week.
All in all... very happy.
