Hey everyone, went out for a hunt tonight and pulled a tungsten carbide ring. I don't know much about any jewelry. After looking around at tungsten rings. They seem to very with what is bonded to the tungsten. Does any one know how to find out what's the make up of the ring. It has a markers mark "T with a circle around it" but after searching around I couldn't find any thing. HH everyone

Very cool find! I would like to know what the tungsten ring's number was on your AT PRO. Was it like nickle in the 70 to 90 range or was it lower?:icon_thumright:

Looks like an enjoyable outing, I am not any type of authority on the subject, but a circle t on a tungsten ring may just mean that. Tungsten. Again not to sure. Be safe out there, nice finds and thanks for sharing.

It comes up as a 71. The tone when it was in the ground was really broken, like a bottle cap or a foil juice cap. After taking a scoop I lost the signal almost walk away thinking it's just a trash target. It was about 6" down. I was pretty excited to see it in my scoop, it's the third ring I've found.

Its one of those metals I've never run acrossed with my detector yet... thanks for the information. I'll be sure to look for that signature and remind myself it might not be a dreaded yogurt top. :treasurechest:
