Another Platinum (and return)

Just got home from a turf hunt after work (pulled a 40 merc and 6 wheats - one 1918) and got a txt from my wife asking if I could do a good deed. A friend of hers she plays volleyball with just lost his wedding ring at the beach. He called 1 minute later and 5min later I was on the 405 on my way to Santa Monica. Got there in the dark to find out he puts his keys ring etc in a bag so he won't loose anything playing vball at the beach. Unfortunately his son decided to play with the bag and everything fell out. There were 10 people sifting with their hands for 30-60 minutes and did find his keys but no luck on the ring. I started to grid the area. Got the usual bottle caps and a quarter. Then nice hit and in the scoop was his ring. Maybe took 5 minutes. It was platinum so I can joke I found yet another platinum. So good deed for the day.
