Well I've only been metal detecting since Feb. 2014. I've only been wet/surf hunting since Jun. I've found a pretty good haul of gold and silver in the dry, but since I've gone to wet haven't found and silver/gold. Mostly bobby pins, <img src="http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1028803"/> Those are all from dry sand. Just have to give it more time in the wet I geuss, although with everyone talking about sanded in conditions wondering why I don't stick with the dry.
What state?
I thought so. Been having the same issue in the wet until this week. One of the beaches I hunt regularly had 18in stripped out and I popped a nice 14k band. I think I am going to stick to the dry unless I see sand being pulled.California

Think I'll be doing the same. Still new to wet so I don't really know what a non-sanded beach looks/feels like. But I have seen lots of pictures with erosion going on so that's what I'll be looking for. But as of right now I go to the beach to dig things up and right now I feel like I just walk around. No I picked up a sand shark. Went out again today with it to hit the low tide and finally found some targets. Thought I was doing pretty good but after clean up and a closer look all costume jewelry But it was great digging some decent targets. Also with the US Open going on the scenery was pretty niceYou using the a AT pro int the wet?

. Will do. My brother in law is an architect down there and designs some homes you probably built. I'll PM you when I am in the hood.I do some evening hunting after work. Currently I've been pretty busy. I'll be moving to utah at the end of August. I bought 10.5 acres out there, going for a simpler/slower paced life I'll be missing the beaches here. Hopefully I can find some good swimming holes. I've been building custom homes in the Newport Beach area for the past ten years and working 60-70hrs a week is starting to wear me down. I'll be partially retired at 30 can't beat that. Let me know if you get into the area. Always down for a hunt.
