Roughly 1 1/2 years up until sand replenishing after hurricane sandy, then it just fizzled away and didn't get out as much. Started out strong and then became spotty but on a few very busy beaches. Wet sand and very shallow water was most productive.

Thanks! I believe it to be a pendulum used by some to answer questions as a source of divination. See pics below.

image-1461372437.jpg

Wiccans are said to be modern day witches and them and others interested in a sort of fortune telling if you will, use them to answer questions. Notice the pentacle aka pentagram attached to one of them. Maybe someone's asking where they should hunt the beach and lost it.
For those of you religious folks, you may be aware that divination is forbidden in the bible.
Either way it's a somewhat interesting piece and odd to find though commonly sold in certain shops if you know how to look for them. Not my thing but I know a good deal about it. Hog wash!

What some awesome finds! ! You got it figured out for sure What sand scoop do you use in the pic? Thanks and keep the good rather great finds coming

RTG 6" scoop. It helps to recover targets quicker but I doubt it's responsible for all my finds. Lol
