24" is quite deep for any detector. I have seen an Aquasound hit a larger class ring at that depth, but I don't think anything else I am using will do it.... Nice find and for you, I hope the depth is accurate. HH, Beach Papa

That is incredible to hear a target that deep on any detector. I am in awe of your skills.

There is no way my underwater Fisher CZ detectors could do that. "Maybe" the Minelab GPX, but I cannot get that one wet and I am not sure I would dig that deep without giving up. Anytime I recovered anything beyond 12", I am pretty sure was not pinpointed correctly and it fell off the wall of the hole into the bottom.

placergold You should watch the you tube video's on the GTX Vs ATX and you will see that the ATX will find Gold that the GTX can't find. I spent a lot of time watching videos before I bought my ATX. There's not one Mine lab at the time I bought my ATX that would go deeper than the ATX and find a Gold Chain only .

Ron, I know you had a Garrett Infinium...whats the differences between it and the ATX?

the ATX is a lot easier to use and with the ATX you will hunt a whole lot slower. it's a lot slow and covers the bottom a lot better. All the control are wright at your thumb tip.IT also has a good dics. Good for tuning out some iron, small wires.
