I just got back from a dive on a new spot that I always wanted to check out. The bottom was mostly bedrock with lots of cracks and crevices. There was some weird stuff down there like a garden rake, bicycle and power tools. Driving up, the gauge on the truck said it was -1 C outside. It was freezing cold in the water too, so before I was out of air, I was completely frozen. A hot shower when I got home sure felt good. It was a bit frustrating because I did not have quite enough weight this time, which made it difficult to dig (amateur move). I ended up holding a big rock just to stay on the bottom. The place was littered with fishing sinkers and lead jigs. I got a few coins and one (very) small 10Kt gold ring. One thing I was missing was a crevice tool. There were some signals in tight cracks that I would have liked to scrape out. All in all, not a great way to end the dive season. In another month or so there will probably be ice.

Hey even if the ring was small its better than finding nothing.
