The other day (Thursday) when I was driving home from work the fall colors were stunning! I stopped to take a pic of one of my local lakes I hunt.

After Labor Day they start dropping all lakes in my area. This makes it quite nice for hunting. Here's another lake beach shot. You want even find a tie wire here!

So, I figured I go and visit a couple this morn on Saturday. NOT! This is what I was greeted by when I got up!

I love and really miss the fall season, the color changes.....I miss the smell of the forest, those fallen leaves shuffling under foot. It always seemed like the magical unavailing of a mystery to me....that summer canopy of green gradually disappearing and slowly creating a view into the fascinating world of nature at its finest.

I agree with lost items recovery, the foliage is beautiful and the water is about 84*.

From N.Y. And hated the cold, loved the Summer temperature and realized couldn't be away from the ocean so that left 2 choices... California or Florida, mustered up the courage for a change of life. If you want year round sunshine and palm trees then just be driven and do it. At the least when all else fails you're still warm. Never let the unknown hold you back make it happen if you want it.

I also woke up to 2" of snow yesterday and this morning everything is ice. On the positive note, the water is now warmer than the air for the next little while. The picture of the tropic beach sure look inviting.

I remember that cold snap when the iguanas were dropping like flies. it was a few years back. Where were those lizards when I was a kid. Talk about good lizard huntin when I was a kid. Now the kids dinosaur hunt. Florida is gettin takin over by the exotics.
