I went to hunt the beach today and found this ring with what looks like a blue sapphire and two walruses on the sides. The ring polished up like silver but didn't have any silver marking. Other than CCR 13 or COR 13. What do you think?
Thank John

that's a nice ring find, jbc

You might try soaking the ring in clear ammonia; if the ammonia liquid begins to show a blue-ish hue, this is one indication that the ring has silver in it.

This method has worked for me with several of my ? silver finds...

If I remember correctly, it has to do with a chemical reaction of the ammonia and the copper content of the item.
