BRRRRRRRRRR! Cold silver and a couple of "wanna-be's" at low tide late morning

Hi:hello:

With triple layer of socks, triple layer and gloves, and triple layer of Turtle -neck jerseys, I headed out for a low tide hunt around 10:30 today ...low 20's *, but sun was shining so why not?:dontknow:

It was beautiful out there....brisk , windy, invigorating:headbang:

Soon, I was joined by a couple of friends.

Hunted a low - lying muddy area not too far off from shore, and found an interesting silver ring.

I think the inscription is of Chinese origin..not sure, though

Here's some pics

Hey, Angel, my battery died after an hour ...had a spare in my pocket, but did you ever try to change a battery pack wearing 3 prs. of gloves ?

Refused to go back to the car...not enough time, so I changed it on the freezing shoreline rocks and went back out there to get that silver.

Hard core metal detecting, that's what I like. I'm raring to go myself, but don't know when I'll get to go. Congratulations on the silver ring, you earned it and glad you had some buddies with you. That's the real treasure is family and friends.

Cool silver ring. Lori you're one tough girl. I know you hunted the sand in the low 20's but the water here is in the low 70's and is a shocker when you fist get in.

Wow Lorraine, you're one tough cookie. In those temps I would have curled up in a little ball and died.

Hi Lep,

No, I don't go deep in the water except up to my knees; that pic is a photoshop I found on the internet.

I'm mostly a "muddy flats" hunter.

That's a Good Start for 2015. I'm starting to plan a few trip looking for Spanish Reales down South in Florida. Just spent 2 days Researching Honduras, but then checked the Flights and it is a 42 Hour Ride- excuse me-goldnugget-Charlotte,N.C.
