Of course, but why would we post our finds in the Beach and Shallow Water section? There are numerous sub-forums on TNet that are worth exploring.

Here in the Oldest City, There is more soil than my coil could possibly cover. I head to the beach when the Nor'Easters are cutting up the sand, and when it is too hot and buggy to be inland.

You can find something good anywhere. But honestly, most beach hunters will likely agree that in the wet and water is where most of the good stuff is found. Its not so much that gold is preserved, its just that junk like zinc pennies are destroyed.......which I could care less about. Other clad gets a bit crusty, but can be tumbled and cashed in fine. I cashed in $27 just today from the last few nights hunts on the wet.

Yea, I understand this is a sub forum. I was just wondering how many of the salties in Fla also venture in land. I myself thoroughly enjoy both. Especially fresh water lakes.

Al, I was waiting for the onslaught of comments about Ron hunting grave sites! Guess it depends on who you are. I hunt on the outskirts a few here and there. Never found any silver, only a buff and an IH.

this was years ago, like the early ninetys, but i went to the parking lot of a graveyard, not even in the graveyard. on the way home my dome light and side lights kept goin on and off and no matter what i did, this is no joke, freaked me out bad. I went back and cleaned dirt off old grave stones and out loud aplogized about 70 times. Not worth it!!

Did the lights quit going on and off after you cleaned the grave stones?
