The first week of January 2015 produced very little. Then the past few weeks I haven't gone out much at all. Spent most of my free time getting the house in order and stuff sorted for our big move back to the U.S.. :sad11:

Yesterday I found a junk ring with black stones and a few coins.
This afternoon after much deliberation of even going out due to my farewell party :occasion18: being last night and being severely hung-over I finally scored my first gold of the year. An 18K band with red stone surrounded with white stone chips. Can't tell if the stones are real or the weight since my tester and scale are in a cargo container.

Thanks for looking and good luck out there!

That's a beauty! Congrats! Looks pretty thick and chunky. Could that be an emerald? I hope she's real.

Hey tnt, that's some great gold. If you don't mind me a asking, where are you moving from?

I think you meant perhaps a Garnet or Ruby? Garnets are usually a dark red in color bordering a Merlot color where Rubies can vary from a blood red to lighter red but not pink.
Great looking finds nonetheless!
