Two days of beach combing last week netted me a coin that nearly gave me a heart attack when I first dug it up, but a nice 10K white gold ring with 1/4 k diamond ring, kind of revived me.
IMG_7520.JPG Lots of 50 cal shells on this beach. It was a strafing area for P51's during WWII

IMG_7525.JPG This is what gave me the near heart attack. I guess it is just a kids token. :(

IMG_7526.JPG A kind of neat brass bell

IMG_7543.JPG The diamond ring and a nice 925 silver ring

IMG_7544.JPG IMG_7561.JPG The rings and bell all cleaned up. As you can see, my wife already has her fingers on the diamond ring!
Thanks for looking :))

Congratulations to your wife on the beautiful gold and diamond ring. These ladies got it all pretty well figured out. Let the inferior male species go claw around in the earth's crust and without any hesitation what so ever, lay claim to some of the most beautiful rings in existence. LOL! I have a pretty brilliant one myself that doesn't mind AT ALL if I go play in the dirt! Ahhhh the life of a metal detectorist.
Now for you ladies that go out and dig your own, well :notworthy: you are a species that scientists haven't quite got a fix on yet! :laughing7:
All joking aside, I love seeing someone pull a beautiful gold ring out of the dirt. Nothing like it. TFS and HH!

I have gotten those coins a few times. Its funny when you think you got one and its not the reale deal. You start thinking like a pirate. Yarrrrr

This is the dredge that I have been trying to keep ahead of. This is happening up and down the west coast. I guess the Federal Government has finally got some money for beach re-nourishment.

Now if we could get them to take the sand from right in front of the beach we'd be having better days there. Going to make for a LOT of dry sand to cover.... in a year or so most wont even remember the beach used to be back 200'. Congrats on the finds.

Too funny I found one just like it at New Smyrna Beach. I can relate to the heart attack feeling.....I think it started out life as an earring but the post was worn away.

NEVER show the wife the good finds! Show her the silver ones, give it to her w/a big flourish and sell the gold/diamond one for your secret beer fund. Great finds! Good luck.
