Thawed waters with more light later in the days gave me hope for more water detecting.
I guess I was really getting miserable as my wife agreed to a mini vacation and off we went. Met up with Casper and his gal. –- Casper-2's post tells our escapades so I will not re-post them –-- The water was Casper-2 and my target area, the gals headed for the malls. Fair enough. My first day was great for coins, the second one not so much and the last I finally hit some of that cold gold, a silver necklace with medal and a questionable bracelet.
The beast of any hunt was meeting up with other obsessive compulsives that enjoy metal detecting as much as I do.
Thanks to all that made our mini-vacation a great success!
Can't wait for the warmer summer weather when others come to my vacation land of Cape Cod to either donate, or do a bit of hunting. At any rate I have given up hibernating for this spring.
WAIT A MINUTE...WEATHER MAN JUST SAID look for 4-6 inches of SNOW Friday evening – Saturday morning...Time to search for another mini-vacation that I can turn into a month long detecting trip.
