I'm temporarily here in Orlando for a few months working on my house to sell. I normally hunt out of Jensen Beach on a daily basis but I'm to busy working on the house but I had to take a break. I was having withdrawl symptoms of no detecting. It is really bad not to get out on the beach. Detecting really is a drug that gives you that natural high. You gotta love it. I hit the beach at high tide and worked the beach all the way to low tide. The beach was busy but really picked up in the afternoon. If you have been to Daytona you know that during low tide the beach can be two hundred yards wide. Anyway found a few rings nothing great but it was great to get out. The sand at Daytona is hard and packed very fine sand. There is not much shell in the sand. Thanks for looking. Have a great weekend.

nice hunt , low tide at Daytona can be productive. I also like how flat and level it is.

Ive only detected at Daytona Beach one time about three years ago but I had a good hunt...I found a silver ring and a nice silver chain with a silver cross in the wet sand at the low tide waterline.

Daytona is really a lot of fun but the width of the beach at low tide is a little overhelming. I wanted to get into the water but it was a bit chilly. I did see one person there with a wetsuit on. I did not have a chance to chat with him. He was using an Excal II. You know that there is some serious finds in all that sand.
