Record Tiger shark.jpg He caught this fishing from shore, and battled it for 3 hours before turning it loose. No wonder I don't care to go out too deep! It was 4m (13') long.

This'll get your attention! This was taken during filming of a Bond movie in 65. I'm on the right. YES! This was a live, almost, 13 foot Tiger. I was very lucky to be able to work in the underwater fight scene's. It was experience I will never forget. thGW8UA8W3.jpg

Remember, most shark "encounters" occur in less than 3 feet of water... So much for not going deep.

That's nothing-

We got politicians turned lawyer running loose over here.

I'd rather stumble upon the tiger shark, lot's safer.

Ha! Good old Morgan and Morgan, For the People. I remember those commercials when I lived there. Charley needed a new job after Rick took his place.

I haven't lived in FL for a couple years now, but I agree that I would take my chances with a big shark instead.

Speaking of Tiger Shark. I have one that is about 15 years old now. Only been back once for a repair of the 8" coil. Mine is one that allows coil changes without sending it in. I came across a 10 1/2 " coil for sale at an online site. Would it be worth getting the biger coil. Does any one have any experience in comparing the two coils on the Tiger Shark. I would think that the bigger coil would give me more depth. Thanks for any advice.

Oh H-LL NO! I think they're an amazing animal but something about being in the water in their territory where they eat things like me just doesn't sit well with me. Visited Clearwater beach Florida and they caught a 12' mako which ended up as dinner that night and we were in the water with it just hours earlier..just scares me
Great catch though

Most shark "encounters" occur in less than 3 feet of water because that is where you will find nearly all of the beachgoers wading and swimming.

If you've seen one 13 foot man eating shark, you've seen them all. Too close for old chicken-hearted fongu. Anything with more teeth than I have needs a wide berth.

Don't have to be deep at all...Note the starfish on the bottom.
Fortunately, my girly scream seemed to scare it off :laughing7:
