FIGARO Silver chain at high tide line today

Hi again

Got out there at high tide and hunted for 2 hrs.

In the first 15 minutes at the high tide line, I retrieved the 20" 925 ITALY silver chain.

This is how it came down:

Sauntering along parallel to the shore line, I heard the solid mid-high tone, and started digging; it was an elusive item and I had to dig about 10 " down before I was able to get what was about a 7" chain which I thought to be a bracelet.

I rechecked the hole, and the same strong mid-tone was still heard...dug some more down to about 14"
Lo and Behold!...there in my scoop was another larger length portion of the chain

Total : 20"

After that find, it was just a few pieces of junk( most not included in pics)

I do like the "Blob top" bottle head found in wet sand on the slope: too bad there was not much left to the bottle.

Hi Lorraine, can I asked how you identified the necklace? I think I found the same one last week, it also says 925 Italy on it. It also has a symbol stamped in it, but I don't know what it is.

Mine is 24", one side has like a crinkle pattern on it.

Anyhow, nice find.

Hi Pennypacker,

I know the "FIGARO" style name because I've seen posts of this style chain identified as such.

I'm not sure, I I don't think that is the name of the jeweler...it's just a style name, but I could be wrong.

My find also has a stamping on the reverse of the "ITALY 925"...I'm attaching a pic of it.

Let me know if the symbol on mine is the same as yours ( if you have time to post it)

You are correct, it is a style of necklace, not a brand.

I found this pendant about 150' away last year, after reading the Wikipedia article it seems it may be possible that they go together.

It may have been launched to that location from a lawnmower.
