Thanks for showing the trash. A lot of people don't do that. Helps put in perspective...I never found it helpful when people only post the gold...

That's a lot of miles to drive for a day of detecting but at least you didn't go home empty handed. Nice finds!:thumbsup:

Mike before the lakes filled up I was at temple lake park a corp if engineer park ranger came up to me and told me metal detecting not allowed I went to my truck and got a copy of the rules and regulations metal detecting is allowed in swimming areas I think he was new there I told him where I was metal detecting is a beach area when the lake is full he still said I couldn't hunt there I will be going back when the lake goes back down hopefully he will have learned the rules and regulations by now if not I am going to talk to commander

Great hunt...you killed the rings...150 miles one way or round trip?...congrats on the gold and silver.

One way I left 3:00 Saturday morning I got there around 6:00 and left around 9:00 pm I took a few breaks I went to three different spots I only seen one other person with a metal detector there's a lot beaches there the local guy metal detecting said they keep it pretty well cleaned out I think Galveston has a lot of treasure to be found I was finding new penny's over a foot deep all that gold is hidden deep in the sand four of the rings I found was in a low spot at low tide 20 by 20 area I sure wish I could go there every weekend it's just to far I am going to try and go at least once a month for the weekend

Yeah, that's a long ways to go...we travel 100 miles one way every weekend and hunt all day but there is 2 or 3 of us and we split the cost...your hard core and deserve those great finds...congrats.
