Sharks spotted close to Cocoa Beach shore

Watch out. They are attracted to electrical devices. I have heard of sharks biting cameras, wires, etc.]

From another MD site, He said at the time the picture was taken he was talking to people on the pier saying he had already seen it and was not worried about it.

Famous last words! LOL Words you'll never hear coming out of my mouth when informed of a nearby shark, bear, tiger, gang, etc. Words like those have a way of coming back to bite you.

That's what he said! I bet if there was video, he'd look like Jesus and be walking on water back to dry land! HAHAHA

I've been bumped in the ocean a few times, and EVERY SINGLE TIME it's absolutely unnerving! Here is one that would have driven me nuts:

No attack. It was just following him around, until he caught that last wave and got the H out of there!

When we were at my family's cabin in Hardy, Arkansas (many years ago), a water moccasin dropped off a branch into my canoe. You couldn't have pounded a BB up my butt with a sledgehammer when it started moving fast towards the aft end (and me). I flipped it out of the boat with my paddle and beat it to death in the water. I like most snakes (even Rattlers), but Water Moccasins are mean, and they will chase you in or out of the water (and will/can bite underwater if they want). If snakes aren't aggressive towards me, then I usually leave them alone (or move them out of the way). If they chase me they die.

Washington, DC - The Federal government is warning Pulse Induction metal
detectorists to "Stay dry, and Stay alive!" June through November, is the most
dangerous time to be in the surf with breeding and birthing sharks. Compounding
this danger, Pulse Induction, or "PI" underwater metal detectors, can attract
hungry sharks from as far away as one-nautical mile with their strong electronic
pulses.

University of Arizona Professor Sandy Tiburón, said that
detectorists - and the swimmers near them, are at increased risk of shark
attack. "We have studied this problem since the fatal attack of a beach
detectorist in Connecticut, in 2009," commented Professor Tiburón. "Our
experiments show that sharks are not only attracted by pulse induction metal
detectors, but that they also behave very aggressively when they locate
it."

The Obama administration acted quickly in response to last month's
fatal shark attack of a pulse induction user near Point Pleasant, New Jersey,
announcing the appointment of Terry Soloman, as the administration's new Pulse
Induction Czar. Mr. Soloman, will be responsible for gathering up all of the
dangerous PI machines currently in use, and advising beach hunters to stay out
of the water, through his department's "Stay Dry, Stay Alive!"
outreach.

"I think it is critical that all water hunters send in these
dangerous PI units as soon as possible," said Mr. Soloman. "We can only help
those that want to help themselves, and staying completely out of the water is
part of that commitment."
