Originally I was going to ask if this was gold but the gold plate quickly washed off with baking soda. Oh well. It's a fresh water find which didn't photograph so well but I'm wondering what the blue/green is in the he design. Not turquoise I'm sure..looks like melted plastic specs. The mark inside says something like 'Sier' or likely 'ster' for sterling. It rang up high like 10-48 so it's got to be silver.
Was glad to find it all the same! Thanks

usually when you see that crushed blue (sometimes its red) "stone" material - its actually crushed coral

Interesting - thanks all. I'm leaning towards the thought it is of Southwestern design. The chips being crushed turquoise (or yep, plastic). It's basically one of those $20 type of rings. Wish it would shine up better, though. Keeps darkening up quickly after being polished.
