I spent 3 hours at a local swimming hole with my Tiger Shark yesterday. I got $1.87 in change, 2 junk ear rings and this pretty 14 k ring with 20 diamonds. Diamonds tested real on my tester. Weighs 4 grams. I really want to upgrade to a stealth scoop and am thinking of selling a few of my finds. Any ideas on a reasonable value on this one? Thanks Steve

Wow, that ring is very nice! As far as a price....if you had to sell it, I would bring it to a reputable jeweler and get their opinion. As for me, I love gold too much to sell it.

Find a place that will do an "insurance appraisal ". If they say it's worth it's weight in gold just leave...there trying to snag it from you.

I took it to a local jewelry shop today and my tester lied. They are CZs. He still said it is worth around $200. Not a bad day.

The CZ's are of no value. If they were diamonds, about $4.00 for the chips. Gold value at todays price is $84.19 -- A nice ring, but worth melt only. I have had luck selling on eBay but on rings like this, rarely make much more than spot price. Still a nice find however.
