Went to a favorite spot this morning that has been sanded in for a while and only had my PI with me. Low and behold there is a nice small section of beach that was carved out this weekend in one of the storms. I couldn't even walk two steps without getting beeps. Lets just say I have a great collection of bobbie pins if anyone needs any. After about 40 mins and probably 30 holes, I gave up. Going back tomorrow with the CZ21.

I usually do but it was so hot this morning I didnt want to leave one in the car. Hopefully it cools down a bit soon so that is no longer an issue.

The same rule applies inland also. It's always good to have a TR unit to back up my VLF for when I encounter lots of iron, especially when I feel the iron is masking old coins.

Went back this morning with the CZ21. Just tons and tons of junk targets. I marked each bad target by taking an inch of sand and filling it in just so I could see where they were and it looked like a minefield. There were maybe 5 good targets out of the 100 junk ones and it was only freshly dropped clad and junk ring. Oh well, at least I am learning to use my machines better and better.
