I watch every ones videos and all I see is every one putting their scoop next to your coils. this will make your detector to over load. If you put your foot next to your coil then remove your coil, then dig . this will save your detector.

I don't know if it can overload but I put the scoop to the coil. I've gotten used to the tone and it saves a little time. Also use the scoop after a null tone to bring back that sweet buzz.

Totally agree with you MiamiFox (for Excalibur & CZ).

When using the CTX 3030 @ high sensitivity, moving the coil up (not in close contact with the soil anymore) will produce EMI and signal falsing => great song in your ears :BangHead:

Are you saying that overload signals are bad for a detector?

I would think an Overload would be Bad? Any input would be great.

On the CTX 3030 we just have a the message "overload" and a very distinctive sound. I don't see what can damage the detector...

If you overload the machine send it in for service. You don't need an rma just send it right in. The machine needs service to work properly. I'd use regular mail no need to track it.

I know what you mean by that sweet buzz, though I have gotten use to the higher pitch also - The buzz is without a doubt better!!!
Overloading - no problem, doesn't hurt anything - probably just a huge buried treasure!!!!

For those of you who overload your machine, you'll need to send 5.00 to me via my paypal account. I'll give your machine two hail mary's and it'll be good as new. Guaranteed!

BUT WAIT, if you act in the next 10 minutes you'll also receive a SHAMWOW!!!! That's a 20.00 value for FREE:hello2::hello2::hello2:

Overload is not like an electrical overload ... it just an audio report that doesn't affect anything. You can use your foot to mark a target or just bring the scoop down as the coil is slid away, which I prefer. The GG waterproof headphones are weak enough that the overload audio isn't that loud.

I love the overload signal on my CZ21 because I think its a smart phone every time...but it is always a beer can :BangHead:...but I have found some good stuff on an overload signal, like sunglasses, smart phones, knives, etc.

Frogmaster - what a terrific overload. Good for you!

In general, overload is just another tone - something big is down there - big piece of tin, rebar, car engine, etc and once in a long while something really cool. Remember your machine is designed to find small stuff mostly. However, it causes no problems to the machine to overload.
