Gold, silver, and "YIKES"...4 days' hunting

Hi :hello:

Camera wasn't working for the past few days , so I postponed posting my finds until I repaired it.

Winds have been blowin' and moving some sand so it was a fun -filled 4 days of hunting while Hank practiced his golfing.

Found some "oldie" coins (1914 "wheatie", a "Liberty" dime, a silver "Roosie") a "not so old" Kennedy half, and a $1.00 Presidential coin.

Also finally on the 4th day ( today) I got lucky with a pretty 14K gold ring

Also met a couple of hunting buddies out there whom I haven't seen in a while...it was nice to chat for a few minutes with these terrific guys/ terrific detectorists.

Was hunting the "muddy flats" at low tide and found the ring on the rim area of a depression
that I spied while carefully reading this favorite beach. ring was not deep, just one scoop.

Stones are not remarkable; weight : 2.28 gms.

Here's some pics.

Thanks for looking at my finds.

The best to all of you in your detecting.

Lorraine

Excellent finds, Lorraine. The 14K ring is beautiful and I love the mercury dimes and those toy cars. Glad you're getting out for 4 days detecting and Hank is back playing golf. Hoping I get an okay from the doctor Friday to get out some this Saturday and next week. At least 2-3 weeks before I can get in the water again. I have 5 new permission letters just waiting when I get back to detecting. GL & HH.

Lori, Great ring and the old coins, if theirs any more beach erosion you'll be digging up coins from the 1800's. Also at first I though the other ring was Darth Vader. Good luck out there.

Haven't been to Ham this year; Hank would like to golf there at the near-by golf course so we may get there some day-perhaps in the Spring; would be nice to meet up with you for a hunt before the beach opens for the season ( I understand that there is no detecting allowed during the "beach hours" once the season begins.

Haven't been on the board in awhile so I missed this. Grats on the gold Lorraine, nice ring for sure.

Still haven't made it out to do any dirt fishing, but at least I dreamed about finding silver and gold last night. Maybe tomorrow and I'm expecting just 45 minutes to an hour if I can hold out that long and the ground is saturated with water from 3 days of rain and have high expectations.

Congrats Lorrain:notworthy:

From a pure detection point of view, "you hopefully live and prospect far for me", thanks god because you don't let anything behind you.....

Thanks for sharing!
