Florida get pounded by senior
And snowbirds. Same seem to be
Beach walkers only and lose very
Little. I know there always some
Recent drops. And natural sand
Movement helps. But I didn't get
Down there til mid Jan this year
And beaches were very stingy..
It got so bad I started hunting
Inland.I would say by new years
The previous swimming season
Drops are pretty much gone
Any thougts thoughts

You are right, but you need to know where to hunt. Lots of locals = few drops. They know not to wear jewelery. Tourists? In the water loaded. Also, know the sand depth... how deep can your detector go? Location is everything! Hunting for recent drops is pulling the handle on a slot machine.

Drops arent gone but burried........ tides change a great deal in the late fall and winter. It pushes and cuts a lot more moving more sand and targets.... hopefully. Those recent drops and much older targets that got buried sometimes get within coils reach. You also have more neg tides which allow you to explore a little deeper water. We still get a few brave soles in the water in the winter ...... but some switch over and do a little more dry sand hunting when the birds are here.

Due to temps at that time almost no one in water
Tourist or local

Sand moving in for the summer and out for the winter. Hard ground I hunted last month in the water is now covered by the sand from shore.

I hope it moves some sand up there Ron........ kind of a bleak summer and i dont think there were as many hunters out this summer either. Lot of beach up CW way so there has to be something out there GL.
