Some poor guy in Oregon is afflicted with NDD otherwise known as Nature Deficit Disorder. Bill is weathered in and looking at cold dark gloomy skies and requested more posts in this section.

So, I canceled some of my other plans and hit the beach.

The weather was perfect- a nice breeze, no too hot, not too cold. What a great day.

Just a little FYI tho- Florida is full. We have no room left, no vacant houses, no jobs- the state is full. We are also out of gold rings on the beach, so don't bother coming here for treasure, it's all gone.

Ahoy!

Drayton swiped all the gold- ALL of it... none left.

The bigger sharks teeth are just off shore. We scuba dive for them but with the water at a bone chilling 73F we can't get in it until next summer.

Today's hunt, graphically...

So, when you went for a stroll in the bushes, did you take a leak?

I can also verify that here on the Treasure coast all the jewels and rings are gone. Only pull tabs and bottle tops remain.

Negative- I left a leak.

If you look to the left of the Miller bottle cap you will see lots of copper pieces. They are copper jackets from 30 cal rounds and are scattered everywhere.

In WWII Venice was an Army Air Corps training base. They used to strafe training targets towed just off the beach because nobody lived here. Who would ever live here? It's hot, humid, full of bugs...

So, the copper is prevalent.

But so is the sunshine.

Long live the pull tabs!

I LOVE seeing the west coast finds! West Florida and California! :notworthy:
Casper, you, Gary, and only a few others, are my biggest competition over here! :BangHead: :laughing7:
Please tell me, ya'll have left the state/country for vacation! :laughing7: 8-)

GIB, the beach is lovely, reminds me of the pass there at Sanibel. My cousins gotta condo there at Venice, too. I think we had a drum circle thingy at that beach before, looked familiar. :icon_scratch: (left a leak..... lol, yeah, right!) :laughing7:
Keep having funs! :notworthy:

Huh... a drum circle. There was a 10' diameter circle on the beach, made out of shells.

You just solved that mystery.

BTW, people in a drum circle don't drop good jewelry.

Apparently, ive done a good job on Manasota lol. I live only a couple miles from there....... and i believe you will find those are .50 cal rounds. Ive dug a LOT of casings there and Venice. Lot of sand in there compared to a few years back when it would give you a gold every now and then.

Oh, man, out finding stuff -- any stuff -- in the sunshine sounds sooo lovely.
What is it in the shark's teeth that makes them detectable?

The sharks teeth are all eyeball finds in the sand while detecting.

Interesting... I loaded a program onto my CTX for detecting shark teeth.

I've got the same program, but it only works on the teeth with fillings.

I found 'grille work' once, it must have been from a Black Tip shark.
